So here is the deal. I don't claim to be "different" or "cool" or a "non-conformist" or anything like that. I just like what I like, and I don't care what You think about it. I don't care if you say I am a "poser" because that word doesn't mean shit anyways. Everyone and no one are posers. Who fucking cares?

I'm a girl in a comatose world where nobody thinks for themselves anymore. People only like what they think is cool or meant to be liked. People worry about being uncool and want to be liked.

Am I any different? I'd like to think so. I don't care about what anyone thinks about me. at least for the important parts. But when it comes to me specifically? Am I Unique? Different? I'm about as different as all the other different girls in the world, but at least i can admit it. I am an average girl who watches cartoons, plays pokemon, got addicted to world of warcraft(horde. don't fuck with me.), listened to nsync back in the day (and still do sometimes.), puts on too much makeup, has insecurities, and eats too much cereal. I'm sure if anyone ever reads this. they will agree with at least 6 of the 7 things i just mentioned. But, hey, more for us to talk about right? =]

I fucking hate long beach NY.
seriously, I feel like I'm living on an alien PLANET.

WARNING: Incoming EXTREME rant. get out now.

did you know that pretty much NO places here (restaurants, Movie theaters, any places with bathrooms) Have those little paper things that go on the toilet seat to keep your ass from touching the gross germ infested toilet seats? like wtf. Am I the only one that likes sanitation??

Also after thinking about it the other night, I can't even tell you if there is a target, wal-mart or a k-mart even remotely near to us. Nor are there any good fast food places. Or any good chinese places. OR ANY GOOD PLACES TO SHOP. I mean i would totally understand the mall being over an hour away if i were in the desert, or a very remote town. But I'm in long beach. Its packed with crap. except useful crap....

AND.. what is with the streets and parking lots? AND PEOPLE DRIVING? I fucking HATE the road system here, and the people driving it. I'm pretty sure people sit at red lights with their hands on the horns like people from jeopardy with there hand on the buzzer just waiting for the split second the light turns green to honk their horn. I want to kill those people. i really do. Or how about the assholes who think its "not running a redlight" if they just idle there way across it at 1MPH because there are no cars. UGH. Also why is LI so fucking ANTI left turn lanes? what is with this fucking get in the left lane. Come to place you want to turn. turn onto this ghett0 little block thing thats like... 3 cars big, wait for ANOTHER light, and then going strait business? it just seems to me that it would be a LOT easier to just give all the main streets designated left lanes.
AND WHO BUILT THE ROADS HERE? they are approximately 2 feet wide. IDK how anyone can drive down these roads without having a nervous breakdown about hitting the cars parked on the side of the road. I don't even drive down sidestreets because they are more like side walks. And wtf is with the "parking lots"? i can't even explain this. These companies that are sitting off of main roads and have like 30 feet of space for people to drive and maneuver and park in... scares me. I'm impressed when dan and I are going someplace how he is able to get in these pathetic excuses for a parking lot, park, and then get out without killing anyone or wrecking his and someone elses car.

Next topic. WHY does everything close at like 6pm? NOT JUST ON SUNDAY?? Dan came to california and was TOTALLY BAFFLED and weirded out when we could buy liquor after nine. (not just booze from gas stations. like jager, or vodka.) You can't buy it in LI after 9. WTF. most people want to DO their drinking after 9. and alot of times don't even think about it untill ike 1030.

And why do ALL the movie theaters suck now? Maybe i'm just spoiled, but i feel like im sitting in a giant sticky box, in lawn chairs with some rags thrown on them for comfort. when did cupholders go out of style? hardly any movie theaters here have cupholders.. Um hi! 21'st century here! most people drink soda's while they are watching their movies. I just don't understand it.

I miss all the little things about california. I took a lot of things for granted. Little things. LIke toilet seat covers. Large, smooth, STRESSLESS roads. With much more patient people behind the wheel. (there is definitely a time to honk when someone doesn't realize the light has turned green. however, as soon as the light turns green is not the right time. i say '3 Mississippi's is a safe way to go.)

*sigh*

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE:

i will be home for the holidays. hopefully including halloween (my favorite) and dan should be with me on christmas.
